A Bright Future Ahead!
“The school was not the end; it was rather the instrumental means for improving the way of life.”
-Saint John Bosco
We first met Peter and John while constructing a new home for their family. Both young men worked alongside the project team, helping build their family's new home and pit latrine. They shared their dreams of becoming a carpenter and mechanic.
With your support, we are proud to sponsor Peter, John and another student named Francis as they pursue vocational training. Due to financial hardship these students had dropped out of school in 3rd grade, 6th grade, and as a Junior in HS, leaving them with little opportunity to improve their situation and continuing the cycle of poverty. However, their commitment and determination during the construction project demonstrated a genuine desire to create a better future for themselves and their family.
Peter has started training as a carpenter, John and Francis are training as mechanics. Their program lasts one year and we have financed more than half of the cost. With just $300 we can complete the cost of their training.
