Emily is a mother of 7 children (2 in high school, 1 in middle school, 3 in elementary, and a 2-year-old toddler at home).

Before, Emily had to walk over a mile every day to fetch water, all while struggling to meet her family’s basic needs. The lack of water made it difficult to keep her home clean, and her children often suffered from jiggers because proper hygiene wasn’t always possible. Life was a daily struggle—physically, emotionally, and financially.
Six months ago, a water tank was installed at her home, and it transformed everything. Emily has never gone short of water since then. Cleanliness is now a normal part of family life, and her children are healthy and free from jiggers. The exhausting journeys to the river are gone, giving Emily more time and energy to support her children’s schooling and wellbeing.
Her relationship with her children has also improved—they no longer clash over fetching water, and the home is more peaceful. With steady water access, Emily’s family has regained health, dignity, and hope for the future.
If her story touches your heart, please consider supporting more families like hers. Your kindness can change someone’s life in the most meaningful way.
